John Cortese
August 8th, 1933- October 26th, 2020
John Cortese, lived and loved his whole life. An Italian American, and a US soldier, but most importantly, a beloved husband, son, brother, father, uncle, great uncle, and proud grandfather.
He wasn't necessarily religious, but he never had a drink or smoke. Well, twice in his life, the first time on his wedding night, and the second was in his later years.
John is the son of John and Pearl Cortese. He was born August 8th, 1933, and was named after his John Cortese JR. after his father, with no middle name. He was one of five kids, Pep, Peter, Mary, Sara, and Phyllis.
He married Kathryn Louise Cooper when he was 25 years old on Christmas Eve, 1958. They were madly in love, and nothing could stop their desire to marry. They couldn't even live without each other, passing only months apart in 2020, after 60 years of marriage.
John and Kitty had three sons together, twins John and Robert born June 1960, and Michael in November 1962.
